Founding Lab Pilot · 60 days · founder-supported

Move your lab off spreadsheets in 60 days.

A supported pilot for research labs that want to get chemical inventory, shared equipment booking, QR workflows, service and fault records and sustainability evidence out of spreadsheets, shared calendars, paper records and scattered folders — with help, not on your own.

No commitment · Your data stays yours · Founding members lock in 50% off if they continue

Who it's for

Research teams that have outgrown spreadsheets, shared calendars, paper records and scattered folders — and the people responsible for keeping a lab running.

Labs

University research labs, research institutes, shared / core facilities, teaching labs, biotech and contract research organisations.

People

Lab managers, technical services managers, facility managers, safety officers and sustainability leads.

What the pilot includes

Everything you need to get your lab genuinely using the platform — not just a login.

Chemical inventory setup

We help you import or add your chemicals, SDS files, hazards and expiry dates.

Equipment & room booking

Shared kit and rooms on one calendar, with conflict detection and training gating.

QR codes for equipment

Print labels for your kit so anyone can scan to see records, book or report a fault.

Service & fault workflows

Service history, certificates, responsible contacts and fault reporting in one place.

Sustainability evidence

Operational indicators — sharing, utilisation, surplus — to support LEAF-style reporting.

Founder-supported setup

Direct help getting set up — not a ticket queue. We want your lab to actually use it.

What the pilot is not

We'd rather be clear up front than over-promise. The pilot does not include:

  • Bespoke software development
  • Guaranteed cleanup of messy legacy data
  • A formal COSHH assessment (we organise records; the assessment stays yours)
  • Certified carbon accounting
  • A full LIMS or electronic lab notebook (ELN)
  • A procurement / purchasing system
  • Unlimited support

How the 60 days work

Day 0

1. Setup

A short call, then we configure your pilot together — inventory, equipment, rooms, QR codes.

Weeks 1–8

2. Use it for real

Your team works the way they actually do: search chemicals, book kit, log faults, scan QR codes.

Day 60

3. Decide

Review what changed. Continue as a founding member at 50% off, or walk away — no lock-in.

How we'll know it worked

Simple, honest measures — not vanity metrics. By day 60 you should have:

  • Chemical records added or imported
  • Equipment records created
  • QR codes printed and tested
  • Bookings made on shared kit
  • A fault or service record tested
  • Sustainability dashboard reviewed
  • Your team gives honest feedback
  • A clear decision at day 60

Founding member discount

Continue after the pilot and lock in 50% off the annual price — for as long as you stay. Limited founding places.

Pilot questions, answered

What does the pilot cost?+

The 60-day pilot is about proving value, not a sales trap. If you continue afterwards, founding members lock in 50% off the annual price for as long as they stay. See the pricing page for the full tiers and founding rates.

Who owns our data, and can we get it back?+

You do. Your data stays yours and you can export it in open formats at any time. If you don't continue, you can take your records with you.

Where is our data hosted?+

On Supabase in the EU (London region), with per-organisation isolation enforced at the database level. See the Security page and Trust Centre for the detail.

Is it secure enough for procurement to look at?+

We keep a Trust Centre, a Security overview, a Data Processing Agreement (Article 28), a record of processing, and an incident-response policy — all available now. Role-based access and audit logging are built in.

Can the rest of my team join?+

Yes. Admins can invite colleagues by email or share a join code, with role-based permissions so people only see what they should.

What if we decide not to continue?+

That's fine — there's no lock-in. You export your data and we part as friends. Honest feedback from a pilot that didn't fit is still valuable to us.

Is this a COSHH assessment or carbon accounting?+

No. We help you organise the records and operational indicators that support COSHH and sustainability reporting — but the formal COSHH assessment stays your responsibility, and we don't produce certified carbon figures.
